Pourquoi j'obtiens si peu de résultats?
La base de données 'rechercher des personnes' est le résultat de l’introduction des analyses par des bénévoles. Tous les registres paroissiaux ou de l’état civil ne sont pas encore analysés et décrits en détail. Sous l'onglet ‘projets’, vous trouverez un aperçu des projets d’analyse déjà clôturés ou en cours (registres paroissiaux, état civil ou d’autres archives comme le notariat, les états de biens,…) et dans la subdivision 'historique', vous trouverez l'aperçu des modifications dans 'rechercher des personnes' (la dernière mise à jour). Je ne trouve pas des informations plus récentes que 1918?
Les articles de loi ayant trait à la protection de la vie privée nous interdisent de mettre à la disposition de tiers les données de moins de 100 ans. Les pouvoirs publics, la personne elle-même, son conjoint, son représentant légal, des parents, des héritiers, leur notaire ou avocat peuvent obtenir sans autorisation un extrait d’un acte les concernant. Les autres doivent contacter le président du tribunal de première instance de l’arrondissement judiciaire dont dépend la commune pour obtenir un extrait de cette nature.
Pourquoi les données des actes ne sont-elles pas complètes ?
La base de données ‘rechercher des personnes’ est un instrument pour vous aider dans votre recherche généalogique et dans votre cheminement à travers les documents d’archives. Le but final est de vous fournir le plus d’informations possibles au sujet des actes. Cela dépend beaucoup des choix opérés lors du processus de description. Pour les projets qui utilisent ‘Demogen’ toutes les informations sont disponibles, pour d’autres projets, celles-ci sont parfois fragmentaires. Il est donc très possible que certaines données soient indisponibles parce que le volontaire n’a pas décidé de les introduire.
Comment faire pour consulter l'acte original?
Les données ont été introduites par des bénévoles. Le lien vers l'acte original n'est pas toujours disponible. Vu le temps que cela prendra, il est impossible de créer les liens.
Sur base des données fournies vous pouvez chercher le document original. Registres paroissiaux et de l'état civil numérisés = https://genealogie.arch.be/.
Autres documents: Les originaux sont consultables dans la salle de lecture des Archives de l'État où les documents sont conservés. Vous pouvez également commander une reproduction via e-mail.
Que signifie 01-01-1800 (1800) ?
Dans certains cas nous ne disposons pas de la date complète parce qu'elle n'est pas lisible ou parce que les données ne sont pas disponibles. Parfois les bénévoles se sont basés sur des 'indexes' qui ne contiennent que l'année. Afin de faciliter une recherche par date, la première date exacte possible est entrée dans la base de données. Par exemple 1-1-1800 s'il s'agit d'un acte de 1800 ou 1-10-1800 s'il s'agit d'un acte d'octobre 1800. Entre parenthèses la partie de la date dont on est certain est indiquée par exemple (1800) ou (10-1800).
